Responsibilities: Implementation of speech-language therapy
services for 45+/- elementary students with a variety of communication
disorders and developmental disabilities; screening and evaluation of students,
meeting with parents, consulting with relevant support staff and teachers, and
completing relevant reports and treatment plans in accordance with state and
federal regulations. Daily programming
of speech and language therapy using a variety of literature, musical, sign
language, art and game activity-based units based upon Kentucky Program of
Studies and core content documents.
Developed phonological awareness intervention programs, collaborative
therapy programs, served as resource mentor for teacher interns, supervise
graduate students from
