The links on the left side of the page will provide you with much information about my speech therapy methods and programs at Warner Elementary. I have designed therapy programs that will be enjoyable to participate in, and emphasize the oral communication skills kids need to be successful in the classroom.
Many times, parents and teachers ask, “what can I do to help my child/student make progress in therapy?” There are a variety of things that you can do to help your child/student become a better communicator. The more support the child receives across settings (home, school, play, etc.), the more likely the child is to incorporate skills into their communicative attempts.
First, it’s important to understand that communication is an on-going process. Every time you speak to your child/student or your they speak to you provides an opportunity for a speech or language experience.
Below are links to more information about specific difficulties & suggestions for activities that you can do with your child based on their specific communication problem.
